About

As a visual artist, I strive to awaken into a state of conscious awareness of the profundity and interconnectedness of all things.

This is what influences my work. Both modern science and philosophy continue to reveal the interconnectedness of all things. There is much more going on between objects than meets the eye, whether it be the space between two trees, people, planets, or stars.

My artwork represents a continuing journey to understand this awareness and the true nature of life. Layers of small dots of color add texture and complexity to my art, much like a field with many small plants or flowers, or a person composed of many small atoms, creating a plane of color.

Life and phenomena are complex.

I strive to draw this complexity. I play with contrasts, including dark versus light, evil versus good, and micro versus macro, and consider these contrasts as themes in my artwork. As a quiet person, I strive to convey contrasts visually and boldly, without relying on words to do so.  Pen and ink are my current mediums of choice.

I find the repetitive patterns and forms both soothing and transcendent. A subtle, triangular, symmetrical composition brings a sense of awe and atmosphere to my drawings.

Transforming complexity into feelings of joy and beauty, just as poison can be turned into medicine.

I have lived in beautiful Sonoma County, California, for over 30 years. My priorities have been being a wife, mother, and full-time employee.

I genuinely believe that an artist never stops being an artist. An artist will take on the task before them and complete it with tenacious pride and an artistic result. Daily life is full of beauty and benefits if a person is willing to look for it. My loving husband, sons, and the Sonoma County landscape influence me. I continue to develop my artistic skills. During the COVID outbreak, I had an epiphany and decided to concentrate on my art. I have created a unique vision representing the true me, which I share confidently with my viewers. I have sold art pieces throughout the years (art fairs, cafe exhibits) and, even more recently, in and out of Sonoma County.

I aim to exhibit my artwork and collaborate with other like-minded artists.
